The Victoria Women’s Centre Presents the #JeMérite 2023 Scholarship Recipient

The recipient of the #JeMérite scholarship for the year 2023 is Audrey Marquis.

Audrey Marquis grew up in New Liskeard. She has faced significant challenges in her past but overcame them through therapy, which was an essential tool for her healing and well-being. Audrey is a resilient young woman. Among many difficult struggles, she also experienced burnout during her studies. All of this led her to adopt healthy coping mechanisms to overcome her obstacles. She learned to recognize her limits to avoid extreme fatigue. She took care of herself and prioritized her mental health.

Audrey is a dedicated and committed individual who aims to bring positive changes to her community. Her challenges and experiences have enabled her to take on a leadership role. She has, among other things, served on a student council committee. She worked to enhance the student experience by fostering an inclusive environment. She has shown compassion and an open mind. She wants to make a difference in the world around her through her perseverance and resilience.

This year, Audrey will continue her third year in Nursing Science at Laurentian University.
