Centre Victoria pour femmes welcomes the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario

On September 24th 2025, Centre Victoria pour femmes (Sudbury) had the honour of welcoming the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Honourable Edith Dumont. Her Honour had the pleasure of meeting our Board of Directors President, Carole Brouillard Landry, our Executive Director, Mireille Charlebois, our Intervention Program Supervisor, Josée Miljours, as well as our team during a tour and visit of our centre.
During this visit, we were also pleased to welcome our sisters from SWC (formerly the Sudbury Women’s Centre), including Board Chair Melissa Pitfield, Executive Director Chantal Makela, and Development Officer Carolyn Dawson.
We are very grateful for this memorable visit from Her Honour and for the opportunity to share information about our programs and services, as well as to shed light on the issues and challenges faced by our organizations in the field of violence against women and gender-based violence.
