The CVF is leaving the X platform

The Centre Victoria pour femmes has decided to archive its X account, formerly known as Twitter, and will no longer post on the platform starting November 25, 2024.

The CVF opposes this platform, which promotes racism, misogyny, misinformation, and violence in all its forms. The benefits of being present on X are now outweighed by the drawbacks, as the platform has become increasingly problematic in recent years. Among several factors, we observe that the content allowed and amplified on this platform is concerning, its algorithms encourage misinformation and propaganda, and the recent decision by X to change its blocking feature further puts users at risk. We believe the platform contradicts the values of the CVF. Our resources will be better used to promote our work and advocacy elsewhere.

The CVF remains active on its website and its Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts.
