The Victoria Women’s Centre Announces the #JeMérite 2018 Scholarship Recipient

Véronique Girouard is the recipient of the Victoria Women’s Centre #JeMérite 2018 scholarship.

This young woman has overcome medical, familial, and financial obstacles, requiring significant effort and perseverance. Her professors confirm that she is determined and always maintains a positive attitude despite challenges. Among her many commitments, she works with women experiencing violence. A role model for the women she works with and for her younger sister, Véronique shares values aligned with those of the Victoria Women’s Centre.

Véronique shows a strong commitment to the field of social work. A graduate of the Social Service Techniques program at Collège Boréal, she will continue her post-secondary studies this fall at Laurentian University in the Social Work program.
