Bursary

The Centre Victoria pour femmes is proud to offer again this year its #JeMérite bursary in the amount of one thousand ($1,000) dollars to a woman who wishes to continue her studies in French after having successfully completed at least one year of post-secondary education.

Criteria

The Centre Victoria pour femmes promotes diversity and inclusion and invites all women, including members of visible minorities, ethnic minorities, Aboriginals, people with disabilities and 2ELGBTQ+ people to apply.

Are you a woman?
Francophone?
Live in Ontario?*
You’ve overcome barriers (past and present)?**
Are you a student at a post-secondary institution in Sudbury?
Are you enrolled in a French-language social sciences or humanities program?

*Preference will be given to women living in the communities served by the CVF.

**The CVF will publish an announcement featuring a short biography of the recipient on its website, its CVF social networks and in the local media. The recipient agrees to the publication of her name, photo and a short profile on her experiences that led to her being named a recipient of the #JeMérite bursary.

Students have until May 29, 2024 to submit their application by completing the form available at www.centrevictoria.ca/bourse.

The bursary will be announced to the deserving woman by the end of July and awarded in the fall of 2024.

Transcript

The transcript will be used to verify that you have successfully completed an academic year, based on the average required for your program of study.

Letter of recommendation

he letter can come from someone you know personally, professionally or academically. The letter of recommendation confirms the obstacles encountered and overcome.

*Preference will be given to candidates who submit a personalized letter of recommendation specific to the #JeMérite bursary.

How to apply

Download the form onto your personal computer.
Complete the form and save it as (Save As), renaming the form JeMérite 2024_your name.
Gather the necessary documents (answers, transcript and letter of recommendation).
Submit the completed form and required documents by May 29, 2024, by e-mail to bourse@centrevictoria.ca
